Industry benchmarks for payment orchestration. Results depend on providers, markets and traffic.

The method

Reach. Certainty. Economics.

01Reach

Every provider you use or want, behind one API

Cards, Open Banking, alternative methods and local rails. Connect the accounts you already have, apply to new providers through the marketplace, and run all of them from one console with one set of webhooks.

02Certainty

Eligibility before routing. Cascading only when it is safe.

Before any provider is scored, every one that cannot take the payment is removed and the reason is named. A second provider is tried only when the first result cannot later become a charge. An unknown outcome is never reported as a decline.

03Economics

Know what a payment cost, and what it could have cost

Contracted fees before routing, actual fees after settlement, and the difference between measured savings and estimated opportunity. Recommendations arrive with impact, confidence and evidence, and stay inside your policy.

How a payment travels

Five stops, for every method

Cards, Open Banking, alternative methods and local rails take one path. Every stop is recorded on the payment.
  1. 01

    Eligibility

Currency, country, method, industry, amount limits and the provider's own approval terms. What cannot take the payment is out, with its reason.

  2. 02

    Policy

Your rules: pinned providers, order, exclusions, limits. They win over any score.

  3. 03

    Health

A provider that is failing is rested, and told to the merchant, not silently skipped.

  4. 04

    Routing

Among what is left, the provider most likely to approve at the best cost, by your strategy.

  5. 05

    Execution

One attempt at a time, each one idempotent, each one recorded. Cascading only when the first cannot charge twice.

The console

What the console tells you

Which providers were considered, which were excluded and why, which was chosen and on what basis, and every state the payment passed through.

A transaction

Why this provider was chosen, and what the payment cost down to the net settlement.

The routing tester

A dry run: where a payment would go, and the reason for each provider left out.

Intelligence

Recommendations that stay inside your policy

The shape a recommendation takes. These are illustrations of the product, not results from a customer.

RecommendationConfidence High

Move Italian EUR card traffic to your second acquirer

Estimated 1,900 EUR a month

  • Approval six points higher there, on 3,100 payments
  • Same contracted fee
  • No change to your exclusions

RecommendationConfidence Medium

Offer Pay by Bank on bookings above 1,000 EUR

Estimated 4,200 EUR a month

  • 12% of your EUR volume is eligible
  • Lower fee per payment
  • Conversion depends on the bank flow; measured after you enable it

RecommendationConfidence High

Your backup route is not recovering soft declines

Estimated 700 EUR a month

  • Cascades on soft declines recovered 2% here against 14% for similar merchants
  • The order of your fallback is the likely cause
  • Preview the change before applying

Providers

The marketplace, in one console

Connect the accounts you already have, or apply to new providers through Payshen. Each listing says what applying there does.

Provider marks from the marketplace listings.

Security

Controls, in plain words

  • 01Card data never reaches Payshen. Customers pay on provider-controlled pages.
  • 02Provider credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown after they are saved.
  • 03Every workspace is isolated. Every query is scoped to it, server-side.
  • 04Every action is in an append-only audit trail with who, what and when.
  • 05Sign-in by single-use link, with two-factor available per user.
  • 06Test and live are separate keys, separate data, separate everything.
How Payshen is secured

Why Payshen

God of Payments

Every route seen, every promise kept, every decision answered for.
  • Sees every routeOne integration reaches every provider you connect. Every one that cannot take a payment is named, with the reason.
  • Keeps every promiseA second provider is tried only when the first result cannot later become a charge. An unknown outcome is never called a decline.
  • Answers for every decisionEvery payment carries the reason it went where it went, readable in the console.

Questions

Asked before every integration

Do you hold or move our money?

No. Funds move from your customer to your provider to you, under your contracts. Payshen decides where a payment goes and records what happened. It never receives, holds or transmits funds.

Do we have to replace our providers?

No. Connect the accounts you have. Add new ones through the marketplace when you want more reach or a better rate.

What happens when a provider fails?

The attempt is recorded with its class. If the result could still become a charge, nothing is retried elsewhere and the payment is marked unknown until the provider's own record settles it. Only a failure that definitely did not execute may cascade.

How do we integrate?

Server to server: one REST API and a TypeScript SDK, test keys and live keys, signed webhooks, a hosted flow for customer redirects. A first sandbox payment is one API call.

Can we see why a payment went where it went?

Yes, every time. The transaction shows which providers were considered, which were excluded and why, which was chosen and on what basis, and every state the payment passed through.

Which payment methods do you support?

Cards, Open Banking (pay by bank), alternative payment methods and local rails, through the same API. What is available to you depends on the providers you connect.
